Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited organized a financial literacy workshops at Ha-Meem Group, Kashimpur in Gazipur district
Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited organized a Financial Literacy Workshop on May 18, 2023 at Ha-Meem Group's Garment Factory at Kashimpur, Gazipur District to convey information about the Bank's financial services, products and other activities to various sections of the society. Mr. Iqbal Mohsin, Additional Director of Financial Inclusion Department of Bangladesh Bank was present as an observer in the financial literacy workshop. The Chief Financial Inclusion Officer and Chief Risk Officer of Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. Mr. Mohammad Ashfaqul Haque, SEVP, FCA, FCS and Mr. Md. Yasin Mollah, Manager of Baipal Branch of the Bank along with other high officials of Ha-Meem Group were present on the occasion.

This workshop is organized to create public awareness and increase the ability to use these products or services by imparting the concept of financial matters related to banking products and services among the people and to involve the common people in savings, spending, loans, investments, long term financial planning etc. Through all these activities, people from different levels of society will be brought under financial literacy step by step with special priority. Another objective of this program is to enrich the large population of the country who are not taking banking services with information. This workshop is organized to ensure inclusive and sustainable development by providing support to the vast majority of the country in making informed decisions on financial matters and to bring everyone including marginalized groups under 100% financial inclusion and to create a suitable environment for everyone to enjoy the existing opportunities of the financial sector by providing financial education and financial literacy. There were 50 employees of Ha-Meem Group participated in the workshop.
