Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. is one step ahead with the conviction of providing fast, modern and advanced technology based banking services to it’s clients. For this consequence, Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited officially launched Green PIN (Personal Identification Number) service on 11th January 2023 with the aim of providing fast and secure banking services to it’s clients. The Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Mohammed Younus inaugurated the Green PIN (Personal Identification Number) service as the Chief Guest. The Managing Director & CEO of the Bank Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed delivered speech in ceremony.

Among others the Vice-Chairman of the Board Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed, the Directors Mr. Md. Sanaullah Shahid, Mr. Abdul Karim, Mr. Md. Abdul Barek, Mr. Akkas Uddin Mollah, Mr. Khandaker Shakib Ahmed, Mr. Fakir Akhtaruzzaman and Mr. Fakir Mashrikuzzaman; the Independent Directors Mr. Ekramul Haque & Mr. K. A. M. Majedur Rahman, the Additional Managing Directors Mr. Abdul Aziz, Mr. S. M. Mainuddin Chowdhury and Mr. M. Akhter Hossain, the Deputy Managing Directors Mr. Md. Shahjahan Shiraj & Mr. Imtiaz U. Ahmed, the Company Secretary of the Bank Mr. Md. Abul Bashar and the CFO Mr. Md. Jafar Sadeq, FCA were also present in the inaugural ceremony.

Shahjalal Islami Bank introduced paperless Personal Identification Number (PIN) for its Debit/Credit/Pre-paid cardholders as part of the bank’s commitment to support green banking. Green PIN is an instant PIN generation process from Shahjalal Islami Bank’s secure Web and by scanning QR Code from Mobile device. By this, Bank’s Credit/Debit/Prepaid Cardholders can easily set their PIN (Personal Identification Number) in secure way. This system eliminate paper based traditional PIN set. Paperless PIN generation is one Bank’s customer centric and Green Banking initiatives. It also significantly simplifies the manual process of paper-based PIN printing thereby reducing carbon footprint. The Head of Card Division of the Bank Mr. Md. Marufur Rahman Khan presented an overall feature on Green PIN.
