The 74th meeting of Shariah Supervisory Committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) recently held at Corporate Head Office of the Bank by maintaining proper hygiene and social distance. A Few number of Directors of the Bank participated in this meeting through digital platform (with a Video Conference). The Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank’s Shariah Supervisory Committee Hazrat Maulana Allama Mufti Shahed Rahmani presided over the meeting. The meeting discussed various issues related to investment policies in the light of Shariah principle.

Among others the Honorable Members of Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdur Rashid, Mr. Maulana Muhammad Sadequl Islam, Mr. Md. Fariduddin Ahmed, Barrister Md. Arifur Rahman, the Vice-Chairman of the Bank Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed, the Directors of the Bank Mr. Md. Sanaullah Shahid, Mr. Engineer Md. Towhidur Rahman, Mr. Khandaker Shakib Ahmed, Mr. Nasir Uddin Khan, Mrs. Jabun Nahar, the Independent Directors Mr. Ekramul Haque & Mr. Nasir Uddin Ahmed, the Managing Director & CEO of the Bank Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, the Additional Managing Director Mr. Abdul Aziz, Mr. Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury and Mr. M Akhter Hossain, the Deputy Managing Director Mr. Md. Shahjahan Shiraj, the CFO of the Bank Mr. Md. Jafar Sadeq and the Member Secretary of Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank Maulana Md. Farid Uddin were also present in the meeting.

The formal proceedings of the meeting began with the recitation from the Holy Qur'an and the meeting was concluded with Do’a and Munajat and wishing continued prosperity of the bank as well as emphasized on the proper implementation and execution of Islamic banking.
