Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) organized “Annual Risk Management Conference-2022” on 24th December 2022 through Virtual Platform (with an online Video conference). The inaugural ceremony of the Conference was presided over by the Managing Director & CEO Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed while the Honourable Director, Department of Off-Site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank Mr. Md. Abdul Mannan was present as Chief guest in the conference. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank Mr. Mohammed Younus, the Chairman of Risk Management Committee (RMC) & Director of the Bank Engr. Md. Towhidur Rahman and the Independent Director of the Bank Mr. K. A. M. Majedur Rahman were also present as special guests and took part in the discussion.

In the Virtual meeting, the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of the Bank Mr. Mohammed Ashfaqul Hoque, FCA, FCS presented the key note papers on overall Risk Profile of the Bank, Risk Management Framework, Risk Mitigation Methodologies, Capital Management, Core Risks Management and upcoming challenges of the Bank. The Joint Directors of Department of Off-Site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank Mr. Mohammad Atiqur Rahman & Mr. Mohammad Arif Hasan also took part in the discussion from the regulatory perspective on different risk issues.

Among others the Additional Managing Directors of the Bank Mr. Abdul Aziz, Mr. S. M. Mainuddin Chowdhury, Mr. Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury & Mr. M. Akhter Hossain, the Deputy Managing Directors Mr. Imtiaz U. Ahmed, Mr. Nasim Sekander and Mr. Md. Nazimuddoula were present in the Annual Risk Management Conference-2022.

Apart from this, more than nine hundred (900) participants including the Head of different Divisions & Executives from the Corporate Head Office, the Branch Managers of 137 Branches and 01 Sub-Branch as well as the Executives and Officers from the Branches connected via Virtual Platform in the conference.
