Shahjalal Islami Bankâ€™s Foreign Exchange Branch relocated at Humayun Court, 21 Mitijheel C/A, Dhaka-1000 on 29th June 2022. To provide better services for the Clients, the Branch has been shifted at new Place extendedly. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank Mr. Mohammed Younus formally inaugurated the relocated Branch as Chief Guest. The Managing Director & CEO of the Bank Mr. M. Shahidul Islam presided over in the ceremony. The Foreign Exchange Branch started itâ€™s Banking operation on 11th March 2003. The opening ceremony included reciting from the Holy Quran, Milad Mahfil and Doa was held at the Branch premises.
In the opening ceremony the Chairman of Executive Committee of the Bank Mr. Akkas Uddin Mollah, the Managing Director of Energypac Mr. Enamul H Chowdhury Khasru, the authorized distributor of bKash and Chairman of Zen International Limited Dr. Siraj Badruddin and the prominent Businessman & owner of the Building Alhaj Humayun Majid were also delivered speech in the opening program. Among others the Board of Directors of the Bank Mr. Md. Sanaullah Shahid, Khandaker Shakib Ahmed and Mr. Abdul Halim, the Additional Managing Directors of the Bank Mr. S. M. Mainuddin Chowdhury and Mr. Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury, the Deputy Managing Directors Mr. Md. Shahjahan Shiraj, Mr. Imtiaz U. Ahmed & Mr. Nasim Sekander, Local Industrialists and Eminent Businessmen were also present at the opening ceremony.
The Chief Guest of the ceremony Mr. Mohammed Younus said, Shahjalal Islami Bank providing better services to its clients through technology based services for this the clients and branches of the bank are increasing subsequently. Motijheel is the foremost trade and commercial area of Dhaka City. There are three other branches of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited in this area; these branches are running business with a good reputation for a long time. He also hopes for Banks more contribution for the overall economic development of the country.
