The 78th meeting of Shariah Supervisory Committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC (SJIBPLC) held on 25th October 2023 at Corporate Head Office of the Bank. A few number of the Hon’ble Directors of the Bank participated in this meeting through digital platform (with Video Conference). The Chairman of Shariah Supervisory Committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Hazrat Maulan Mufti Shahed Rahmani presided over the meeting. The meeting discussed various issues related to Islamic Banking & investment policies in the light of Shariah principle.

Among others the Honorable Members of Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdur Rashid, Maulana Muhammad Sadequl Islam, Mr. Md. Fariduddin Ahmed, Barrister Md. Arifur Rahman, Mr. M. Kamaluddin Chowdhury, the Hon’ble Vice-Chairman of the Bank Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed, the Directors of the Bank Mr. Md. Sanaullah Shahid, Mr. Khandaker Sakib Ahmed, Mr. Mohammed Nasir Uddin Khan, Mrs. Jabun Nahar, the Independent Director Mr. Nasir Uddin Ahmed, the Managing Director & CEO of the Bank Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, the Additional Managing Directors Mr. Abdul Aziz, Mr. Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury and Mr. M. Akhter Hossain, the Deputy Managing Directors Mr. Imtiaz U. Ahmed & Mr. M. M. Saiful Islam, the Chief Financial Officer of the Bank Mr. Md. Jafar Sadeq, FCA and the Member Secretary of Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank Maulana Md. Farid Uddin were also present in the meeting.

The formal proceedings of the meeting began with the recitation from the Holy Qur'an and the meeting was concluded with Do’a and Munajat and wishing continued prosperity of the bank.
