Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. organized an Awareness Raising Workshop on Sustainable Finance on 26th August 2023 at Bank’s Training Academy in Dhaka. A total of 40 officers including the Head of Division and Investment-in-Charge from branches participated in the workshop. The Additional Managing Director of the Bank Mr. Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury inaugurated the workshop as Chief Guest and delivered his speech highlighting the importance of sustainable finance to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and advised all the officials to follow the concerned policy and guidelines of Bangladesh Bank. The Director of Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank Mr. Chowdhury Liakat Ali was present as Special Guest in the workshop. The Joint Director of Sustainable Finance Department Mr. Shakhawat Hossan and the Joint Director of Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank Mr. Md. Abu Rayhan were the key note speakers.

Among others, the SEVP & Principal of Bank’s Training Academy Mr. Md. Saidur Rahaman and the SEVP & Head of Sustainable Finance Unit of Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. Mr. Mohammed Ashfaqul Hoque, FCA, FCS were also present in the workshop.
