Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) inaugurated it’s 140th Branch at Meherpur Sadar Meherpur District on 13th August 2023. The Managing Director & CEO of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed present as the chief guest and inaugurated the branch. The Secretary of Meherpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Md Ariful Enam Bakul was present as Special and delivered speech on the occasion. The Manager of Kushtia Branch of the Bank Mr. G. M. Kamruzzaman presided over the program. The Head of Public Relations Division & Bank Foundation Mr. Md. Shamsuddoha (Shimu) moderated in the program. The activities of the branch have been started from last 28 December 2022. As the branch building was under construction on the eve of the inauguration of the program, it was not possible to formally inaugurate the Branch. In this situation on 13th August 2023, an exchange of views with the Clients and the official opening of the Branch was held at the branch premises of the Bank.

Among others the Clients & Well-wishers of the Bank were delivered speech in the inauguration program.

In the speech of the Chief Guest the Managing Director & CEO of the Bank, Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed said, Shahjalal Islami Bank is working relentlessly with the aim of accelerating the country's economy and bringing people from all walks of life under banking services. We hope that through this branch of Shahjalal Islami Bank, the overall business and trade of the area will be further developed. The Customers always have full confidence in this Bank. Therefore, Shahjalal Islami Bank is constantly expanding its branches in view of the increasing demand of customers and with the aim of providing banking services to people from all walks of life.

In the speech of the special guest, Mr. Md Ariful Enam Bakul said, we believe that Shahjalal Islami Bank will play a role in the expansion of business and commerce in Meherpur. Many entrepreneurs can be created in this area, if the Banks are guided and work properly. He thanked Shahjalal Islami Bank authorities for setting up a Branch in Meherpur and assured all kinds of help and cooperation.

The opening ceremony included reciting from the Holy Quran, Milad Mahfil and Doa was held at the Branch premises.
