The 77th meeting of Shariah Supervisory Committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) held on 18th June 2023 at Corporate Head Office of the Bank. A few number of the Hon’ble Directors and Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank participated in this meeting through digital platform (with Video Conference). The Chairman of Shariah Supervisory Committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited Hazrat Maulana Mufti Shahed Rahmani presided over the meeting. The meeting discussed various issues related to Bangladeh Bank’s revised Shariah Guidelines for Conducting Islamic Banking in Bangladesh & investment policies in the light of Shariah principle.

Among others the Honorable Members of Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdur Rashid, Maulana Muhammad Sadequl Islam, Mr. Md. Fariduddin Ahmed, Barrister Md. Arifur Rahman, the Hon’ble Vice-Chairman of the Bank Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed, the Directors of the Bank Mr. Mohammed Nasir Uddin Khan, Mrs. Jabun Nahar, the Independent Director Mr. Nasir Uddin Ahmed, the Managing Director & CEO of the Bank Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, the Additional Managing Directors Mr. Abdul Aziz, Mr. Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury and Mr. M. Akhter Hossain, the Deputy Managing Directors Mr. Imtiaz U. Ahmed, Mr. Md. Nazimuddoula & Mr. M. M. Saiful Islam and the Member Secretary of Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank Maulana Md. Farid Uddin were also present in the meeting.

The formal proceedings of the meeting began with the recitation from the Holy Qur'an and the meeting was concluded with Do’a and Munajat and wishing continued prosperity of the bank as well as emphasized on the proper implementation and execution of Islamic banking.
