Mr. Md. Reazul Karim was born in a respectable Muslim family in the year 1959. He obtained B. Com (Hons.) and M. Com degree, both in Accounting from the University of Dhaka. Later on he became a FCMA degree holder from The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB). Presently, he is serving as an Independent Director of the Bank.

A seasoned Banker, Mr. Karim has vast experience in this sector as he had been in this profession for long 40 years. He served as the Managing Director in The Premier Bank PLC. for 06 years. He also held the position in the same bank as Additional Managing Director for 5 years. Prior to joining in The Premier Bank PLC. in 2013, he worked in Prime Bank PLC. for long 18 years at different capacities including serving as Additional Managing Director for nearly 1.5 years.

He started his banking career in Bational Bank Limited in 1984. In his illustrated career, he has performed successfully in diversified areas of banking as Head of Branch, Head of Foreign Exchange, Head of Credit, Chief Credit Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Business Officer. Under his dynamic and visionary leadership, The Premier Bank PLC. has turned out to be one of the leading banks in the industry.

As part of his job responsibilities, he attended various training, workshops, seminar and meeting at home and abroad such as: in USA, UK, UAE, China, Hong Kong, Qatar, Vietnam etc.

Mr. Karim also works as a Guest Lecturer in BRAC University on the topic of Strategic Management and Financial Institute. He also worked as a Guest Speaker and Resource Person in various bank's training institutes.
