Under the supervision of Bangladesh Tennis Federation, the Closing Ceremony and Prize Distribution Ceremony of “Shahjalal Islami Bank Victory Day Tennis Tournament -2024” was held recently at National Tennis Complex, Ramna, Dhaka. The Secretary of Ministry of Youth & Sports Mr. Md. Rezaul Maksud Jahedi was present as a Chief Guest and The Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Mr. Mohammed Younus was present as Special Guest and they distributed prizes among the winners.

Among others the President of Bangladesh Tennis Federation Mr. Abdul Hai Sarker, Vice President Mr. Md. Selim, the General Secretary Mr. Ishtiaq Ahmed (Curren), Tournament Director Mr. Shafiqul Islam Sarkar (Sohel), the Deputy Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Mr. M. M. Saiful Islam and the In-charge of Public Relations Department Mr. K. M. Harunur Rashid and other officials of Bangladesh Tennis Federation were also present in the program.

In this tournament, Jarif Abrar from Army Officers Club won the Men's Singles category, Md. Rustum Ali & Milon Hossain from American Club won Men’s doubles category, Halima Jahan from BKSP won Women's Single category, Susmita Sen & Sumaiya Akter from Jhalkathi Tennis Club won Women’s Doubles category in the final competition. Apart from this, Kabbo Gayen from BKSP, Halima Jahan from BKSP & Jannat Hawlader from Madaripur Tennis Club won separately the others age based category. The winners of this competition are awarded with Cash, Certificates and Trophies.

In the speech of Chief Guest, the Secretary of Ministry of Youth & Sports Mr. Md. Rezaul Maksud Jahedi Said that it is possible to energize the youth through sports. Young generation will change the country and bring success. I hope that tennis will gain popularity in this country in future and will bring fame to the country by playing successfully at international stage. He also thanked to Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC for providing sponsorship in this Competition.

In the speech of the Special guest the Vice Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Mr. Mohammed Younus Said, an excellent and very competitive tournament was held. Shahjalal Islami Bank constantly working for the development of sports in the country. He congratulated the winners and wished them more success in future.
