The Bokshirhat Sub-Branch of Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. has started operations as a full-fledged branch at Senbagh, Noakhali District from 07th August 2022 in order to provide better services to the clients. The Managing Director & CEO of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited Mr. M. Shahidul Islam inaugurated the Bokshirhat branch as the Chief Guest. In order to provide better services to the customers the Bokshirhat branch has started operations in a spacious space. Mr. Md. Shamsuddoha (Shimu) the Head of Bank Public Relations and Bank Foundation of the Bank presided over in the opening ceremony.

Among others, the President of Bokshirhat Bazar Committee Mr. Anwar Ullah, the Chairman of No. 8 Bijbagh Union Mr. Salim Uddin Kajal, the Chairman of No. 9 Nabipur Union Mr. Belayet Hossain Sohel, the Chairman of No. 13 Rasulpur Union Mr. Md. Abdur Rashid, the Principal of Sultan Mahmud Degree College Mr. Shahidul Islam, the Head Teacher of Bijbag N. K High School Mr. Md. Hanif, the Branch Manager of Bokshirhat of the Bank Mr. Md. Masudur Rahman along with local industrialists and businessmen were present. The manager of Chowmuhani branch of the bank Mr. Md. Abdul Hannan moderated the program.

Mr. M. Shahidul Islam, the Chief Guest of the ceremony said that Shahjalal Islami Bank is working relentlessly with the aim of accelerating the country's economy and bringing the people of remote areas under banking services. In view of the needs of the customers in different areas, we have started expanding the branches as well as introducing various types of banking services. Moreover, we want to deliver daily financial services and products very easily to the doorsteps of common people. All the financial institutions of Bangladesh today have been able to realize that the expansion of banking activities is very important for the inclusive development of the country.

Mr. Md. Shamsuddoha said, Shahjalal Islami Bank first started operations as a booth and later as a sub-branch in this Bokshirhat. We have converted this Bokshirhat branch of Shahjalal Islami Bank into a full-fledged branch after observing the business progress and overall condition of the area. He expressed feeling that the customers will play a role in the overall economic progress of the country including the area by conducting banking activities properly.

The opening ceremony included reciting from the Holy Quran, Milad Mahfil and Doa was held at the Branch premises.
