The Half yearly Business Conference 2010 of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) was held at a city hotel Saturday.
The inaugural session of the conference was presided over by its Managing Director Muhammad Ali while Chairman of the bank Mohammed Solaiman was present as chief guest.
Founder chairman of the bank Sajjatuz Jumma, former chairmen Akkas Uddin Mollah and Md Towhidur Rahman, Directors Anwer Hossain Khan, Mohiuddin Ahmed, Mohammed Hasan, Khandoker Sakib Ahmed, Alternate Director Md Masud, deputy managing directors Md Mukhtar Hossain and Md Abdul Jabbar Chowdhury were also present on the occasion.
Mohammed Solaiman said that the bankers should increase their efficiency and ensure best of services to the clients. He suggested the bankers to contribute to the national economy by creating new entrepreneurs as well as other business.
Managing Director Muhammad Ali emphasised the accelerated growth and sustainable development of the bank with concurrent consolidation thereof. He expressed his satisfaction over the popularity of deposit and investment schemes of the bank.
The meeting evaluated the performance of last six months and adopted necessary strategy and action plan to achieve the target for the current year. The divisional heads of the head office, managers of 52 branches and head of offshore and SME units took part in the discussion. |
