Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited distributed relief materials among unemployed workers and helpless people of ward no 38, 39 & 40 under Vatara police station, Dhaka on 31 October 2021 as a part of corporate social responsibility. The Joint Police Commissioner of Detective Branch (DB), Dhaka North, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Mr. Md. Harun Ur Rashid was present as Chief Guest and distributed relief items more than 500 unemployed working families.

Among others the Director of the Bank Mr. Khandaker Sakib Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Gulshan Zone, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Mr. Md. Asaduzzaman, the Head of Public Relations and Bank Foundation of the Bank Mr. Md. Samsuddoha and the reserved female ward Councilor of Ward No. 38, 39 & 40 of DNCC Mrs. Nilufar Yasmin Iti were present as Special Guest in this relief distribution program. The ward Councilor of Ward No. 38 of DNCC Mr. Md. Shafiqul Islam Basek presided over the program.

As relief each family got 10 kg rice, 1 kg pulse and 1 kg salt have been distributed to 500 families.
