The 69th meeting of Shariah Supervisory Committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) held recently through digital platform (with a Video Conference). The Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank’s Shariah Supervisory Committee Allamah Mufti Abdul Halim Bukharee presided over the meeting. The meeting discussed various issues related to investment policies in the light of Shariah principle.

Among others the Honorable Members of Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank Mr. Mufti Shahed Rahmani, Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdur Rashid, Mr. Maulana Muhammad Sadequl Islam, Professor Hamidur Rahman, Mr. M. Kamaluddin Chowdhury, Mr. Md. Fariduddin Ahmed, Barrister Md. Arifur Rahman, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank& member of the committee Mr. Md. Sanaullah Shahid, the Directors Mr. Abdul Halim, Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed, Mr. Akkas Uddin Mollah, Engineer Md. Towhidur Rahman, Mr. Khandaker Shakib Ahmed, Mr. Mohammed Golam Quddus, Independent Directors Mr. Ekramul Haque and Mr. Nasir Uddin Ahmed,the Managing Director & CEO Mr. M. Shahidul Islam, the Additional Managing Director Mr. Abdul Aziz, theDeputy Managing Directors Mr. Md. Shahjahan Shiraj, Mr. M. Akhter Hossain, Mr. Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury& Mr. Imtiaz U. Ahmed, the CFO of the Bank Mr. Md. Jafar Sadeq and the Member Secretary of Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank Maulana Md. Farid Uddin were also present in the meeting.

The formal proceedings of the meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an and the meeting was concluded with Do’a and Munajat and wishing the bank continued prosperity as well as emphasized on the proper implementation and execution of Islamic banking.
