Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited organized virtual meeting onthe life and work of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of National Mourning Day-2021 the 46th Martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation on 18th August 2021.The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank Mr. Md. Sanaullah Shahid was present as the Chief Guest while the Managing Director & CEO Mr. M. Shahidul Islam presided over the function. The Directors of the Bank Dr. Anwer Hossain Khan, MP; Mr. A. K. Azad,Mr. Akkas Uddin Mollah, Engineer Md. Towhidur Rahman, Mr. Mohammed Younus, Mr. Mohammed Golam Quddus and the Managing Director & CEO Mr. M. Shahidul Islamtook part in the discussion.

Among others the Vice-Chairmen of the Board Mr. Md. Harun Miah and Mr. Md. Abdul Barek, Directors Khandaker Shakib Ahmed, Mr. Abdul Halim, Mr. Md. In the Virtual program, the speakers emphasized on the contribution of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman & his great contribution beyond building modern Bangladesh and transmitting his life philosophy from generation to generation. The exact history of the country's independence needs to be known to present and future generations. In the Virtual program a special Doa’ and munazat has been conducted for the greater welfare of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family those who have sacrificed their life on 15th August.
