Mr Mohiuddin Ahmed and Syed Nurul Arefeen have been elected chairman and vice chairman respectively of the Executive Committee (EC) of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited, said a press release.

Mr Ahmed is the chairman of Rupsha Trading Corporation, Mohiuddin and Company and Pacific Automobile and sponsor director of Islami Insurance Company Limited.

He was also the founder vice chairman of Southeast University.

Mr Arefeen is the sole distributor of Birla Tyres of India and proprietor of Solar Trading Company, Solar Precured Tyre Retreating Company and Solar Transport Company.

He is Managing Partner of Solar Autos Company and Solar Telecommunications and

Managing Director of Universal Yarn Dyeing Limited.

He is a member of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and life member of Tangail Zilla Samity.

Mr Arefeen is the Governor's Adviser of Lions Club International?District 315 B/3 and Treasurer of Gregorian Association, the release added.
