Mr. Md. Sanaullah Shahid has been unanimously elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited in it’s 292nd Board meeting held on 08th January 2020. In the same meeting, Mr. Md. Harun Miah and Mr. Md. Abdul Barek elected as Vice-Chairmen respectively of the Board of Directors of the Bank.

Newly elected Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Md. Sanaullah Shahid was born in a noble Muslim family in Dhaka City in 1963. Mr. Md. Sanaullah Shahid started business after completion of Bachelor Degree in Commerce. He is a Sponsor Shareholder of Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. & Vice-Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Ltd.. He is the Chairman of Electra International Ltd. (a Sole Distributor of Samsung Brand Electronics Goods), Director of Electra Consumer Electronics Ltd. and Federal Securities & Investment Ltd. He is also a partner of Kashmir Chemical Co., Sazawa Brothers and Electra Furniture. He traveled different parts of the world in connection with business. He has also involved with various Social Organization.



Newly elected Vice-Chairman Mr. Md. Harun Miah is a renowned Businessman based in UK. He was born in a respectable Muslim family of Chondopur under Golapganj upazila in Sylhet District in 1961. He is the Managing Director of Kushiara Financial Services Ltd. and Kushiara Travels Ltd.. He is also the Directors of Kushiara Cash & Carry, Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Ltd., Bangla Frozen Food Ltd. and the Chairman of Hotel Pritom Inn. He also engaged in numerous Social Organizations for a long decade.



Newly elected another Vice-Chairman Mr. Md. Abdul Barek was born at Matlab Upazila, Chandpur District in 1960 in a respectable Muslim Family. He started business after completion of his education. Md. Abdul Barek is a Sponsor shareholder of Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. and Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Limited. He is the Proprietor of Arju Electronics, Jony Electronics and Rony Electronics. He has long and creditable business experience for more than two decades.
