Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited has recently promoted Mr. Imtiaz U Ahmed to the capacity of Deputy Managing Director. Prior to this elevation, he was working as SEVP & Head of Foreign Exchange Branch of the Bank.

With around 16 years of service with the Bank, Mr. Imtiaz worked in different key divisions and branches of the bank. He was the Head of Corporate Division, IC&CD, HR Division, Training Institute for a remarkable period of time. Prior to taking charge of Foreign Exchange Branch, he worked for Dhaka Main Branch and Mohakhali Branch.

Mr. Imtiaz first pursued his banking career with EBL and prior to that he had an extensive work exposure in the capital market at CSE for a couple of years. A post graduate in Finance and in Accounting, he completed his articleship from KPMG Rahman Rahman Huq and passed CA (Inter) from ICAB.

He attended many professional training, seminars, symposium, etc at home and abroad. He finds immense interest to be proactively involved/engaged in emerging professional issues.
