With the collaboration of Ministry of Youth and Sports the People’s Republic of Bangladesh organized ‘Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman National Gold Cup Football Tournament (Under-17)’ at each District and Upazila level of the Country. In these consequences there were 8 teams from different Unions of Nawabganj Upazila participated in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman National Gold Cup Football Tournament (Under-17). The final match of the tournament held at 14th September 2018 at Dohar-Nawabganj Government College field.

Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. sponsored at the Tournament where the Chairman of the Bank Mr. Akkas Uddin Mollah was present as Chief Guest and the Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Nawabganj Mr. Md. Tofazzal Hossain was present as special guest in the occasion.

Jontrial Union achieved the dignity of to become Champion at the Tournament. The Invited guests distributed awards among the Champion & Runner-up team members.
