Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) awarded scholarship among the brilliant and poor students of the country. The scholarship awarding ceremony organized on 28th May 2015 at the Officers Club, Dhaka. The 500 students of different Colleges, Medical Colleges and Universities received the Scholarship for their brilliant result. Each student received onetime taka twenty thousand for SSC level and taka twenty five thousand for HSC level. Since 2006 Shahjalal Islami Bank disbursing Scholarship among the poor and brilliant students through the country wide.

The Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited Mr. A. K. Azad presided over the ceremony while the Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Atiur Rahman was present as chief guest on the occasion. Among others Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation Engr. Md. Towhidur Rahman, Vice Chairman of the bank Alhaj Mohammad Younus and the Managing Director Mr. Farman R Chowdhury were delivered speech. Two Scholarship awarded students were also delivered speech in ceremony expressing their feelings.

The chief guest of the function BB Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman thanks to Shahjalal Islami Bank Authority for continuing aid and financial support to the under privileged people of the country as a part of CSR activities. It is a praiseworthy work to make an opportunity for the brilliants to their higher studies. The Financial institutions of the Country playing a significant role for the Economic Advancement of the Country besides building the nation.

The Chairman of the bank Mr. A. K. Azad said, Shahjalal Islami Banks’ contribution is remarkable to the economic growth of the country and the bank is rendering lots of social activities as its CSR activities. The brilliants are contributing to build up an enrich Nation along with the national economic growth of the country. The young brilliant students of our country are acquiring dignity both in the home and abroad by dint of their merits. At present the educational ingredients are being expensive, so the upper class in our society should extend their financial support for educating the poor brilliant students. The brilliants will be turned into valuable assets in our country if they are given proper financial opportunity. Shahjalal Islami Bank will always stand beside these brilliant students.

Managing Director Mr. Farman R Chowdhury indicated in his speech that SJIBL is continuing its cooperation to develop the economic and social condition of the country from the beginning.

Among others Director Alhaj Khandoker Sakib Ahmed and Deputy Managing Director Mr. Md. Setaur Rahman were present in the ceremony.
