Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) opened its 90th Branch at Elephant Road in Dhaka on 17 December 2013. The Director of the Bank Alhaj Mohammad Hasan formally inaugurated the Branch as Chief Guest. Farman R Chowdhury Managing Director of the bank presided over the inaugural ceremony.

Among others Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank Syed Nurul Arefeen and Additional Managing Director Masihul Huq Chowdhury spoke on the occasion.

In his speech, Alhaj Mohammad Hasan said Shahjalal Islami Bank providing better services to its clients through technology based services for this the clients and branches of the bank are increasing subsequently. Our prime motto is to serve all classes of clients and to fulfill increasing clients demand.

Managing Director Farman R Chowdhury discussed elaborately about the Bank’s deposit and investment schemes. At present this bank earned a stable position in banking sector through transparency and good governance he added.

The opening ceremony included reciting from the Holy Quran, Milad Mahfil and Doa was held at the branch premises.
